Le Bistrot Central sur Ruffec

The couscous is very good. I don't know why it has such a low grade in general because in my opinion I don't ask for anything more.

We had lunch on Monday March 25, the welcome was pleasant, regarding the meal of the day, rice salad, tomato sauce and some mussels in a ramekin served on a plate and lots of salad!! The salmon lasagna dish (very average and certainly industrial) also served with a quantity of salad!! And to finish, a crème brûlée. Good 😉 With this meal, we consumed a bottle of sparkling water (no choice, only one brand) I don't think I'll come back The price is not justified!!! 46 euros!!!

Having an appointment in Ruffec but having nowhere to go for an hour and a half (I came by bus and it was raining), I went for a coffee at the Bistrot Central. Very warm musical atmosphere and decoration. When I tell the boss that I only want to drink coffee, a little restraint on her part but I can see that she is disappointed. Either. The bartender very kindly serves me my coffee and I ask him if he mind if I stay a bit to dry off. He replies, "So far it's okay, but we might need the bar later to pass the drinks around." Ok. So I'm watching for the arrival of potential customers. Two customers arrive in 20 minutes. “I think it will be fine” I said to myself. Later, I ask, this time to the boss, if it bothers me being there. I kindly got kicked out because “we’re going to need the whole bar” *small hypocritical laugh*. In short, it looks nice but be wary of appearances. 3 stars because I'm not that bad.

Very good break for a family meal. Children are welcome. Simple meals and very well prepared with fresh produce. Not a bad choice for beers, the same for wine. The desserts are also homemade. I recommend !

Very welcoming and efficient staff. We have had lunch here several times and the food is always very good, the tangines are always very tasty. The meals offer good value for money.

Cuisine très bonne, service exemplaire, sauf bémol le prix assez important, mais qui peut certainement s'expliquer par la fraîcheur des produits. Bien pour un restaurant, par contre trop cher pour des ouvriers.

Bon déjeuner. Cuisine maison avec des produits frais. Excellent accueil.
