16/03/2026: During a weekend hiking trip in this beautiful region, we had dinner at this restaurant (without a reservation). The setting is typical of the area, and the dishes were delicious, generous, and flavorful. We had a lovely evening. The staff was helpful and tried to serve us quickly. A great place to eat.
14/03/2026: Fantastic experience at La Vieille Étable in Le Mont-Dore! We had fondues with Saint-Nectaire and two cheeses to share: they were delicious and very generous portions; we even had trouble finishing them! Typical mountain dishes, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and very friendly staff. A great place to eat if you're visiting Le Mont-Dore. Bonus: the restaurant is open even outside of school holidays—thank you to them!
