Le cafe de la Place sur Mont-Dore

28/02/2026: I was surprised by the result; it wasn't too bad. Having read the reviews, which were almost all negative, I was expecting a disaster, but it was actually quite good. The fries, however, were a bit soggy. The rest was good, though a little expensive for the quality.

31/01/2026: Where to begin… A perfect example of everything you shouldn't do in the restaurant business. "We only serve crêpes now." Fine. Service provided by a very young waiter, clearly underage, left to his own devices, with no training: no menu, no cutlery, and a rickety setup. We ordered a Perrier (by the liter): we were given a 50cl glass, then a 75cl Châteldon (not on the menu, which we never ordered), and finally charged €8 for 1 liter of Perrier. As a reminder, at the foot of the slopes: €6.50. The crêpe was reheated, the fries were cold and tasted like leftovers, and the hygiene was questionable, with dog hair on my partner's dress and the banquette (see photos). €41 for this.
