Impeccable service, the desserts are the best desserts I have eaten in my entire life. I even advise you to take two. The dishes are very good too. Everything is perfect. I recommend.

Succulent dishes, worthy of a gastro, very smiling and attentive service, all this for a complete menu at 26 euros for lunch! A great discovery!

Le Chameau Ivre ( The Drunken Camel) was described by some loyal clients as the "best restaurant " in Béziers and was looking forward to a meal here a second time.
For dinner, it's either a Menu Diner for 41 euros or Menu Découverte for 58 euros.
Our party of six opted for the Menu diner and one ordered à la carte.
For appetizers, the marinated anchovies were very tasty but the mullet carpaccio bland.
For main, three of us ordered Scallops ( St. Jacques) with mushrooms. Hmm , the scallops are supposed to be the "star" of the dish but there were a mere three medium sized scallops on a bed of mushrooms and brown coulis, which overpowered the seafood. Moreover, there were pieces of what seemed like prawn crackers, but were not crispy but hard to bite into . This is, for me, a forgettable dish.
The others ordered quail with mushrooms, celery and hazelnuts and were highly satisfied with their choice.
For dessert, the choco mocha was a 5/5, the Pavlova was short on fruits on coulis ( disappointing) while the Paris Brest Noisette was ho hum.
The server who took our orders was very knowledgeable about the dishes but good service ended there. It was on the slow side, especially between the appetizer and the main, most likely because the restaurant had already filled up to the brim.
Portions are not generous so beware if you have a huge appetite. 😂
The atmosphere is cozy but a lot of seats are on bar stools with half back support.

The cuisine is quite good. The desserts are simply divine. The menu is a little expensive and the dishes presented are not all available. "out of stock". A bit of a shame for a restaurant that seems to have “gastronomic” ambitions.
The friendly staff... however the wait staff is a little out of step with this famous desire for a quality restaurant. Disorganization, 3 people to serve you, a wine master in sneakers, long waiting time between each course, etc. It doesn't fit with the image that the establishment probably wants to give itself. However, we had a great time there.

Delicious and refined dishes. It's been a long time since I've been here but an effort has been made and the portions are generous (a la carte dishes) and the prices are reasonable for quality fresh produce. A very pleasant time spent that I will repeat without delay. Small downside: fairly long service.
I highly recommend nonetheless.

Well, I do a lot of restaurants all year round because I'm often on business trips just to lay the foundations and to say that I've done hundreds for over 30 years. Welcome and pleasant service, the dishes are good with quite a few flavors. On the other hand, there is still a serious problem with the quantities on the plate, this for a menu at 41 euros, starter, main course, dessert! I also doubt the 12cl glass of wine when it comes to the dosage in the glass, more like 8 cl and at 9 euros it's also a bit expensive. So a very mixed opinion. For dessert we are on point with the Greek yogurt cheesecake. A bill of 50 euros should still not take us for uncles or passing tourists

Une vraie belle découverte. Un 100%, apéro, entrée (choux de 3 tapas), plats (thon rouge et turbo), dessert (mousse au chocolat noir), service, gentillesse, efficacité. Aucun reproche possible. Bravo et merci à toute l’équipe

Au niveau cuisine, impeccable, fraîcheur, belle présentation, mélange surprenant et agréable
Prise de commande parfaite.
Ventreche de thon et poulpe.
Addition très correcte.
Cependant,
Lorsque je dîne dans ce type de restaurant, toujours pas un verre d’eau que tout le personnel fume assis sur une fenêtre, et moi … j’attends … il fait 40 degrés (j’exagère)…
Bref, bémol, ça ne m’empêchera pas de revenir, c est une belle adresse gustative.
Un peu de tenue vestimentaire pour les serveuses ou un dress code, une formation rapide sur les codes en restauration.
Les défilés de mode n’étaient pas prévu ce soir là il me semble 😊😊😊
