5/5 stars – Mediterranean delight: Le Pitalugue delivers on its promise! ​Le Pitalugue completely captivated us with our lunch today and is a true gem for lovers of Mediterranean cuisine. From the very first minute, we felt warmly welcomed in this restaurant. ​Ambience & Warmth ​The entrance, adorned with lush greenery and large red roses, promises an oasis of peace and charm (photo). The seating area in the conservatory/terrace is bright and cozy. You sit sheltered yet outdoors, creating a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. ​First-class service ​The service was simply perfect. Our waiter was very friendly and extremely quick. It's particularly noteworthy that the staff attentively pointed out every detail and special feature of the dishes – this demonstrates their expertise and passion. We felt thoroughly looked after throughout our visit. ​The food: tender, delicious, and of high quality ​The cuisine at Le Pitalugue is stunning. Our taste impression was very good – everything we tried was very tasty and tender. ​Appetizer: To start, we had the spectacularly presented bone marrow with toasted baguette. It was perfectly prepared, buttery soft, and well-seasoned – a hearty start to the meal. ​Main course: The seafood platter was a real highlight. The shrimp, mussels, and other seafood were tender and exceptionally fresh. The spicy sauce in which the dish was served harmonized perfectly and was a culinary delight. It was served with fragrant rice. ​Drinks: The wine pairing with Gérard Bertrand's "Art de Vivre" from the Languedoc, stylishly served in pink and white bottles, was an excellent complement to the Mediterranean dishes. ​Conclusion and recommendation ​Le Pitalugue offers a fantastic combination of outstanding food quality, attentive and friendly service, and a charming ambiance. The dishes are not only visually appealing, but also a complete success in terms of taste. If you want to enjoy authentic, high-quality Mediterranean specialties in a very pleasant setting, you must stop here. A clear and unconditional recommendation!

Stopped here for lunch after a couple of hours drive, on a Sunday. Attentive service, beautiful view, food was great but a touch too spicy than expected. I would go back though

Superb view. Nice setting and atmosphere. Very warm welcome, fine and pleasant cuisine. Top-notch waitress. The menu seems simple, but don't be fooled, everything is well presented, everything is tasty. To do again and again. One word: excellent.

A small restaurant a little off-center in Agay, on the hills and with a magnificent view. In addition, the quality of the dishes, we enjoyed ourselves, the bourride was a treat. The staff were friendly, both in the dining room and in the kitchen. A great time to celebrate a birthday with family.

The open-sided interior is much more inviting than the exterior, which features more metal-like bistro tables. There are some lovely views over the bay, but unfortunately, the view is marred by the ugly roof of a house. The waitress seemed a bit hectic and wanted to take our order as quickly as possible. Why was unclear. The fish platter was delicious, with a great sauce. At €34, it was considerably more expensive than the equally good entrecote for €24. The chef personally came out and was genuinely interested in feedback on his dishes. There seemed to be only one wine of each color by the glass; the white one, unfortunately, was tasteless. The rosé was okay. Overall, you can't go wrong here, but there's room for improvement in terms of the outdoor decor, service, and value for money. An average of €3-5 less per dish would have been appropriate.
