Le Coq d'Or sur Cognac

Good welcome, good food, friendly servers to do again!

Meal for 14 people, very good food, excellent waiter, the only downside was that a few plates were cold.

The place is beautiful, very cozy and with very nice antique furniture and mirrors. Good space to visit with family. The food was good, but not much of a surprise. What we liked the most was the foie gras starter. We also ordered burgers, they were good and well presented. (The fries are very good 👌🍟) The coffee was another high point. My mother-in-law ordered the penne carbonara. It wasn't carbonara with the original Italian recipe, it was made with cream and bacon instead of guanciale, but she really enjoyed her dish. In my opinion, the service was a little slow, a lot of time passed between the appetizer and the dishes. However, the attention of the waiters was very good. I don't know if I would repeat for lunch, but I think it is worth visiting this place during a visit to Cognac. Yes, I would recommend it for someone who is going for the first time. In my case, I think I would go back for a coffee ;)

Brasserie restaurant avec une déco typique. Bon accueil, cuisine de bonne qualité à un prix correct.je recommande vivement.

Ce restaurant à Cognac vaut le détour. Le personnel est accueillant et professionnel. On y mange bien et pour un prix raisonnable. Nous avons adoré.

Ce fut un excellent repas une très bonne soirée avec un sommelier très professionnel nous reviendrons avec plaisir

Un décor très agréable, un service impeccable et une cuisine savoureuse....un bon moment à passer dans cette vieille institution.
