Le Cristal sur Pau

I'm a regular; the food is excellent and the pastries are very good, especially the cookies. Everyone is very friendly and it's inexpensive compared to other places. One of my favorite spots in Pau.

Very good for the price. Good value for money.

We came for a hot chocolate and a beer, just the two of us, one afternoon in December. We sat on the terrace, but only two beer choices for a bar/restaurant is really limited. A 50cl hot chocolate was €8.60 and my "large hot chocolate" was €4, which was the size of a regular chocolate and was just water, with no sugar, cake, or wrapper... We paid €14.60 for €8.60 + €4; there's a calculation error. A brief greeting, no conversation, no friendliness. If you don't want to work, you should stay home. We won't be back, which is a shame.

We went for lunch on a Saturday during Christmas. It was very busy, but the service was super fast and the staff were incredibly friendly. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
