Excellent value for money and a lovely northern French atmosphere, complete with homemade fries, carbonnade, and potchewelch (hard to spell, hard to pronounce... but so delicious). A word of advice: book in advance as it's very popular, and the football stadium and Louvre-Lens museum are just a 5-minute walk away! I highly recommend it if you

We had lunch at this little bistro with my association between visits to the Louvre-Lens (which is really close by). Personally, I really enjoyed the friendly and cheerful atmosphere of the restaurant, and of course, the perfectly cooked carbonnade and fries. The service was excellent; the group was surprised to be greeted and served at the beginning by a young man who looked every bit the part of a future waiter! Keep up the good work! There's a good chance we'll be back!

A very pleasant visit to this typical northern French pub, very close to the entrance of the Louvre-Lens. The welcome was warm and genuine; it was lovely. A truly convivial atmosphere reigns in this friendly place, with shared tables adding to its charm. The dishes are good and authentic, typical of the region, which perfectly complements this wonderful experience. A place to recommend and return to without hesitation.

Ideally located opposite the Louvre Lens, prior reservation is recommended. The welcome is always friendly and smiling, as well as attentive. We always eat well, in good quantity and quality at a reasonable price. We will come back with pleasure!!!!

05/01/2026: I celebrated my birthday at Le Coquelicot restaurant during a private party, and everything was perfect. The staff was incredibly welcoming and very pleasant throughout the evening. The food was truly delicious, and we had a wonderful time. A fantastic experience that I highly recommend!

18/01/2026: From an Auxerre supporter who's leaving with a strong desire to return: Your food is excellent, full of flavor and presentation; it's homemade, and it shows. The staff is truly top-notch. A special mention to the gentleman at the bar who reserved a table for us on match night. He's so friendly, welcoming, and warm—thank you! We'll definitely be back! And let's not forget the atmosphere on match nights—it's fantastic! I felt like a Lens supporter, and we wish we could have stayed longer!
