A very good experience in a typical, authentic regional pub, all in a friendly atmosphere! I recommend trying four small glasses of the beers brewed on site – a real treat!

Excellent value for money and a lovely northern French atmosphere, complete with homemade fries, carbonnade, and potchewelch (hard to spell, hard to pronounce... but so delicious). A word of advice: book in advance as it's very popular, and the football stadium and Louvre-Lens museum are just a 5-minute walk away! I highly recommend it if you

Okay, you should definitely book, especially on match days. Otherwise, you'll be waiting at the entrance. We had a good carbonnade and fries, but I've had better. The starter for two was excellent and plentiful.

We had lunch at this little bistro with my association between visits to the Louvre-Lens (which is really close by). Personally, I really enjoyed the friendly and cheerful atmosphere of the restaurant, and of course, the perfectly cooked carbonnade and fries. The service was excellent; the group was surprised to be greeted and served at the beginning by a young man who looked every bit the part of a future waiter! Keep up the good work! There's a good chance we'll be back!

16/02/2026: Had a fantastic time at Le Coquelicot for Valentine's Day! The menu was delicious and the price was reasonable for this type of occasion. The owners are amazing and the place is really lovely! Can't wait to go back!!
