Great atmosphere, friendly and fast service... good advice... remember to book on weekends - we'll be back!

Between pizza and kebab shops, finding a decent place in Lens isn't easy. This authentic bistro near the train station is a different story. It welcomes you in the dim light, with closely spaced tables and the enticing aroma of Maroilles cheese. The menu features traditional fare, good beers, shrimp croquettes, andouille sausage gratin with Maroilles, and pork cheek braised in beer—all excellent. Efficient service. Reservations are recommended.

Delicious! I loved my visit to Pain de la Bouche. I recommend the Faluche des Montagnes and the Brioche Perdue au Caramel. Despite a very noisy family next to us, it was warm, comforting, and delicious.

Okay, let's be honest, we Lille and Lens residents usually tease each other quite a bit... but this time, I have to put down my weapons! 😉 This fantastic bistro is the real deal, the kind they just don't make anymore. The menu is a real headache because everything looks so tempting, you don't even know what to choose. Be warned, the portions are incredibly generous! We had to be strategic to even hope to save room for dessert. We paid €55 for two (two main courses, a dessert, and a mineral water), and frankly, that's incredibly reasonable considering the portions, especially since we're rather light eaters. But if you have a big appetite, you'll be in heaven! Here, there's no "gastronomic" fuss; it's a restaurant that's alive, that exudes warmth and authenticity. Something that "those under 20 wouldn't know," as Aznavour sang! 🎵 In short, it's absolutely worth the trip. And if someone from Lille is telling you so, you can go without hesitation! Come on, no hard feelings, Lens fans, you've got a real gem here! 🔴⚪🤝🔴🟡
