This address, considered a must for lovers of good taste and meat aficionados, has definitively won me over; Le Fossile is undoubtedly a restaurant where you can experience excellence, to put it simply: where you can rub shoulders with the angels! Not only does it boast a rich wine list, but its cellar is overflowing with exceptional wines, magical beers, and above all, a very rare selection of whiskies! Compared to the flashy and deceptive South, no! Lille is not that supposedly "dreary city" of the North! On the contrary, its charms are authentic and welcoming. For the true connoisseur of the good life, ignoring it would be a foolish mistake. But one that can be rectified...

Honestly, I expected much better given the reviews.
The dishes were cold, mediocre, and lacked flavor. It's definitely not worth the price. 29 euros for one dish. A tiny salad for three people, and the homemade ratatouille turned into a slice of endive.
The staff were very friendly, but unfortunately, there were shortcomings in the service. Hygiene was questionable. The menus were dirty. It felt like everything was done with the bare minimum for such a high price.
I won't be back and I definitely don't recommend it; you'd be better off going somewhere else. What a shame.

We had a wonderful meal here. The customer service is excellent, the staff are welcoming and efficient. The meals are very generous and delicious. Highly recommended.

Our first family visit to this restaurant. The meat was excellent and perfectly cooked, the side dishes were generous, and the staff were helpful and friendly!
