Stumbled across this wonderful little restaurant on our only night in Le Mans. We had the three course for E30 and each course seemed better than the previous, the tarte tatin being just delicious. Always a good sign when a place is packed with locals. Highly recommend!

We ate here on the first evening of our holiday, on the recommendation of the owner of our cottage. We had a very pleasant time here in a cute and typical setting, with tasty, no-nonsense dishes at a wonderfully reasonable price. We definitely recommend this.

The setting is truly superb, with a charming medieval ambiance, stone walls, beautiful beams, and a magnificent tapestry that greatly contributes to the atmosphere.
I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp appetizer and the perfectly cooked salmon. The tarte Tatin for dessert was also excellent. Just two minor points: the beurre blanc seemed a little too runny and different from what I'm used to, and the Saumur-Champigny would have benefited from being served a bit chilled, especially on such a hot day.
Despite these minor issues, I had a very pleasant time and would gladly return to try other dishes on the menu.

A medieval ambiance that perfectly suits the setting of old Le Mans. Perfectly cooked. A must-try.

A little gem tucked away on a street corner in the Plantagenet district of Le Mans.
The welcome is very friendly, the decor quite historic with its engravings, tapestries, and interior architecture: fireplace, beautiful stonework, and French-style ceilings.
The set menu is an unbeatable €20 for a starter, main course, and dessert. The ingredients are high quality, and you can tell it's homemade.
Kudos to the owners for this excellent offering. Top-notch value for money and quantity for price.
