Sorry, but this greedy guy is incredibly rude. He only has eyes for the customers who are walking in, and there's a 10-minute wait at the bar to pay the bill. Typical Metro food!

The welcome, the new decor, and the service (one small drawback: my starter was served before I'd finished my aperitif) were all excellent. As for the menu: the poke bowl was too heavy for a starter, and the classic steak tartare was just so-so. However, the ice cream and the selection of flavors were fantastic.

The food was truly awful!!! The plate was served extremely quickly… But it arrived barely lukewarm! Definitely prepared in advance. The meat was full of gristle. The fresh fruit salad in August consisted of apples and two strawberries!!! 🙄 (completely wilted). In short, avoid this place.

Great setting, the Sunday lunch menu with the all-you-can-eat buffet is well-stocked with a good selection of different starters, a choice of 3 hot main courses, and unlimited dessert and cheese. Pleasantly surprised, ready to return without hesitation.

Le Verre Galant

14/08/2026: Fantastic restaurant right in the old center of Chalon-sur-Saône, had a fantastic meal, also great with children, and the price-quality ratio is almost too good to be true. We will definitely be back next year 👌🏻
07/08/2026: A delightful experience at the foot of Saint Vincent Cathedral. The waitress was charming and very helpful.
