Le Grand Monarque sur Azay-Le-Rideau

A wonderful stay at Le Grand Monarque! Everything was perfect, especially the friendly and helpful staff. And, the location is great - restaurants etc in town are easily walkable. I highly recommend this lovely hotel!

The room was ideal, located in the annex building across the courtyard, and offered all the expected comforts. Impeccably clean, spacious, and located on the first floor with an elevator. Absolutely peaceful, the decor and furnishings are perfect! The breakfast is of high quality, using local produce whenever possible. Nothing extravagant, but everything you need to start the day. The hotel is perfectly located in the city center, a 5-10 minute walk from the castle. The secure parking is a much-appreciated bonus. Finally, I would like to add the extremely friendly staff!

We stayed 1 night in the hotel Le Grand Monarque while traveling. It is located in the middle of the quiet village on the Indre Azay le Rideau, within walking distance of the castle of Azay. The room was comfortable, spacious and very clean. Beautiful bathroom with excellent shower. Slept very well in the excellent bed. Although the hotel is located in the middle of Azay, it was very quiet at night. Well-kept breakfast and friendly, smooth service. Very friendly staff. You can park your car for €7 in a closed, uncovered parking lot. Our congratulations to the management and the team!
