Le Gustalin sur Dole

Discovered a few years ago during our first visit to Dole, we were delighted to rediscover this restaurant's cuisine this summer during a stop in the city center. The dishes were delicious, beautifully presented, made with quality ingredients, and offered excellent value for money. The location, the terrace, and the dining room are also very pleasant. And what a treat to find a children's menu with dishes prepared using fresh ingredients and in portions perfectly suited to their little appetites! We will definitely return if we have the opportunity again.

A bit pricey for an establishment of this category. Otherwise, the food was very good. The staff were lovely.

Excellent restaurant, both for its food and the wine list! The terrace is a bit small (it's best to book to be sure of getting a table). Inside, where I ate, the air conditioning was a little too strong (the only easily adjustable drawback), but ultimately not bothersome.

A few days ago, we went to Le Gustalin in the evening, as this restaurant had a very positive Tripadvisor score. First and foremost, the good: Friendly staff, the interior and atmosphere were okay, and the menu prices are acceptable. Unfortunately, the disappointment only started with the aperitif: order a Martini for 5 euros and you get 6mm of Martini, and that includes the ice cubes. We were stunned. Unacceptable. The other aperitifs were okay. Furthermore, for dinner, I had escargots as a starter; it was okay. The main course was a hamburger that wasn't fantastic. Not very flavorful and very juicy. Dessert: Crème Brûlée was okay. Someone else had a salad as a starter, which was very simple in its execution. Main course: whole fried fish with some fries. Not really tasty; perhaps a local tradition, but we found it anything but appetizing. We do not agree with the very high scores, sorry.
