Le Kastelberg sur Andlau

As part of the restaurant's festive events, the menu item at Kastelberg was described as: "Celery ravioli with mushroom duxelles, finely shredded smoked eel in a vibrant ginger broth." The dish I received contained only two slices of celery sandwiched between other vegetables. When I asked where the shredded eel was, I was bluntly told that it was cooked in the broth. In that case, the more accurate description would be "eel-infused broth," not "shredded eel in broth." The description clearly implies the presence of fish on the plate. No compensation or alternative was offered, leaving a distinct impression of false advertising and a misleading description of the final product. It's a shame, because the main course was decent, and the average dessert resembled a piece of mass-produced fruit mousse cake. Edible, but nothing special; I didn't detect the promised cardamom flavor. Overall, I was disappointed by this restaurant for the first time.

Lunch as part of a festive menu was delicious, original, flavorful, generous, and very good—in short, thank you for this wonderful experience. The staff was very professional and friendly. The decor was lovely and cozy. Go without hesitation.

Great festive menu, excellent service

This hotel may have seen better days, but the rooms are clean. The restaurant serves excellent food, and the breakfasts are also very tasty. But what truly deserves to be highlighted is the quality of the service. If the hotel were ever to change its name, it could very well be called "No Problem Hotel." The staff responded to all our questions with a smile and were always eager to help. A very pleasant stay.

I didn't book a room; we went to the restaurant, and it was absolutely delicious. Congratulations to the kitchen staff! This is our second time here, and it was fantastic both times. The service is very professional. The staff are incredibly friendly, kind, and attentive. Even though the restaurant was packed on February 14th and things were hectic, the girls kept smiling. I highly recommend it.

A first visit to this magnificent, beautifully decorated restaurant. The welcome was very pleasant and the service top-notch. The original dishes were excellent, including the surf and turf sauerkraut 😋, pure bliss 👍. Thank you to my sweetheart for this wonderful evening. We will definitely be back.

Excellent restaurant. The waitress was very attentive to us and our dog. The dishes were refined and delicious. A lovely, relaxing experience. We will return to enjoy the superb sunny terrace. We highly recommend it. We returned to this restaurant as a group of six for a celebratory meal. It was very good, the service was personalized, the waitress was perfect—she managed everything perfectly—and the atmosphere was pleasant. We will be back.

Quiet location. Spacious and very clean room. The quality of the food served in the restaurant and at breakfast was excellent. Welcoming staff. I'm giving it 4 stars, as perfection doesn't exist.
