Excellent, peaceful, with only fresh, homemade products; we had a lovely afternoon tea. Really great, and the gourmet tea for €10 is something I highly recommend.

With only one tiny café/brasserie open and packed inside Clos Lucé, we were forced to venture out again, all six of us, to find somewhere to eat. We didn't have to go far: just across the street was Le Maître d'Art. We pushed open the door without knowing what to expect. A warm welcome awaited us, and we were quickly seated. The menu was short: a good sign indeed... and the dishes were well-prepared and delicious. The service was quick. We received a generous and delicious afternoon tea, the likes of which I'd never had before. I commend the owners of this establishment for being so welcoming, unpretentious, and excellent.

Definitely worth the detour! We opted for the gourmet menu this lunchtime, and it was! The dish of the day was duck breasts à l'orange with rice and a salad. A true delight! For dessert, we offered a choice of coffee or gourmet tea. The meal was particularly tasty and generous. Thank you for your hospitality and your hard work. Now we know where to come next time.

Small, quality, homemade restaurant with local products. We are leaving, Madam and Sir, very welcoming and friendly, providing good service. Impeccable value for money for an establishment located a few meters from the entrance to Clos Lucé. Share this type of very good address!!!

11/02/2026: We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant, ideally located at the foot of Amboise Castle. The cuisine was delicious and inventive, featuring seasonal ingredients; we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The staff were very pleasant and had a great sense of humor. We will gladly return.

08/12/2025: The L’Alliance restaurant in Amboise, slightly out of the way, offers truly excellent, flavorful, and well-prepared cuisine that is definitely worth the detour. The service is adequate, if not exceptional, and the somewhat underwhelming setting doesn't quite do justice to the quality of the food. A great place to eat well, despite an atmosphere that could be improved.
22/11/2025: Excellent cuisine, with real attention paid to allergens. Quick and friendly service. The restaurant is unfortunately not very busy, but we had a very pleasant evening and our taste buds were delighted.
