I'm giving it 3 stars, but I hesitated between 2 and 3. The tea room is well located, the square is very pretty. Is that enough to justify the prices? It seems to me that at this price, everything should be impeccable. The food is very good, but there's a sense of stinginess in the service; it's exactly what you ordered and nothing more. Not a single lettuce leaf, not a carafe of water to go with your omelet, for example. Furthermore, the service is truly deplorable: an unfriendly waiter, a saleswoman who doesn't even greet you when you enter the shop. The restrooms are only partially clean. Quite disappointed, I expected something else, especially since the location and the products have great potential.

A pastry shop located at the foot of the castle that offers gluten-free cakes.
There was a choice between coffee macarons and Tourangelle cakes.
I chose the Tourangelle, a sublime cake bursting with flavor, featuring almond flour, apple compote, and vanilla cream. The owner was very friendly, and the prices were quite reasonable.

We went in Amboise for a week for some deserves holidays. Plan was one, try a different place every day. Plan ruined because you cannot avoid this place! Is amazing 😍 Every breakfast was just an amazing way to start the day 😊 The guy ( I don't remember the name but is in one of the pictures) is so nice and polite. So interested on his job, so keen to help that just this makes you to want to go back! Add the quality of everything and you have the perfect receipt. Everything is fresh made, you can tell and smell that. So much variety, and quality all over! Definitely I will come back there, and have an amazing breakfast.
