We went there today and for the 4th time it was a treat.
The service is welcoming and warm. Everything was delicious. We will be back soon! nice continuation
Here we went again Saturday evening August 31, 2024 and once again a delight!
For me it was endive au gratin and for Monsieur Flamiche Montagnarde.

A restaurant as we like them.
Without fuss, here we are with family, like at home.
Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter atmosphere.
Regional specialties of very good quality.
Kindness of the staff.
It would be a shame not to open the door of this very good estaminet and let yourself be tempted by a menu, certainly long, but very well mastered.
The only downside, but really nothing too bad, is the coffee.
Otherwise, it's flawless.

Very nice atmosphere, candle lighting and very well restored old furniture. The staff is very welcoming and pleasant. The dishes are simply delicious and above all extremely generous. I recommend!

This is a deservedly popular restaurant. Everyone seemed to be local and many appeared to be regulars. The style is a modern estaminet.
Cooking is very typical of northern France. Expect a refined version of the sort of hearty food industrial workers would want - plenty of meat, often accompanied with cheese-based sauces - not your Mediterranean diet.
It was so good we dined there two evenings. A plate of local cold meats and cheese made a wonderful starter. My husband's chicken with mushrooms was excellant, whilst my potjevlesch (a sort of brawn) was lovely and reminded me of growing up in Yorkshire.
The other evening we tried Faluches (think pizza) - very tastey but far too filling.

Je viens du Sud-Ouest (Cognac), je voulais goûter la cuisine traditionnelle du Nord et ce restaurant m’a été recommandé… il est très bien :-) L’accueil est irréprochable et les plats délicieux, je recommande.
