After the show "The Conspiracy of Azay," we were looking for a place for a last drink before the end of the evening. We received a wonderfully warm welcome and excellent wine recommendations, which were truly delicious!! (I should mention we're from Burgundy). A huge thank you for the chat and the recommendations for vineyards and great places to eat! We'll definitely be back because we absolutely must try the food 😍

A very good restaurant, featuring local produce and pleasant service, though there was a slight wait. The only slight drawback is that a small salad or alternative would be nice to offer, aside from the dishes which are typically from the Touraine region and mostly meat/charcuterie. But we were very happy with our visit nonetheless! ❤️

A very good restaurant just steps from the castle. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent, with the added bonus of bike information consoles about the region.

We received a warm welcome and the food was absolutely delicious: tagliatelle with zucchini and mussels, black pudding and foie gras tartines, fries cooked in beef fat, country salad, and tomato and burrata. The team even prepared a charcuterie board the size of a plate to accommodate our child's appetite. Thank you again! And the gourmet coffee is truly decadent! Don't miss it!

The terrace was lovely and the setting was ideal. Unfortunately, we were a little disappointed by the €20 andouillette à la ficelle with fries. We were surprised to see that only half an andouillette was served. If this is the restaurant's policy, it would be best if it were clearly indicated on the menu to avoid any confusion. Furthermore, the expression "à la ficelle" refers to a method of preparation, not to the fact that an andouillette is cut in half. A clarification on this point would be appreciated. The purpose of this review is not to criticize the staff, but simply to point out that the quantity/price ratio and the dish's description left us perplexed. Fortunately, the dish itself was excellent!

During our visit to the city, we stopped at this place, a restaurant featuring local products, from drinks to desserts, thanks to partnerships with local businesses. A wonderful discovery, a delicious meal, and a pleasant chat with the server. 24/08/2026: La Crédence is a charming restaurant located very close to the entrance of the Château d'Azay-le-Rideau. It has three indoor dining rooms, a street-side terrace, and a pleasant, non-smoking garden. From the first-floor window, you can see the entrance to the Château d'Azay-le-Rideau. The welcome is cordial and warm. The atmosphere is cozy. The menu is delicious. There are options for people with celiac disease, including gluten-free choices, as well as vegetarian options. The prices are very reasonable, and the dishes we chose were delicious and generous. The order of the photos: Gazpacho with minted peas, pork terrine with hazelnuts, carrot and orange crumble, pork stew with Chinon wine, Caesar salad, pollack with mixed vegetables, close-up of the first-floor dining room, and street view.

16/08/2026: A magnificent experience at L’Aigle d’Or! Passing through Azay-le-Rideau from Reims to explore this beautiful region, we had the pleasure of dining at L’Aigle d’Or, and what an excellent evening it was! We chose the Envol menu: a true discovery from beginning to end. Magnificent dishes, refined cuisine, a wealth of flavors and wonderful combinations, with a particular focus on local produce. This approach was especially appreciated and gave even more meaning to this beautiful cuisine. Special mention must also go to the absolutely impeccable service: a smiling, attentive, friendly, and humorous team, all while remaining highly professional. The wine recommendation was particularly well-chosen, perfectly complementing our menu. Finally, what a pleasure it was to dine in this lovely garden, under this magnificent tree! A peaceful and charming setting that greatly contributed to the success of the evening. We left delighted, both by the cuisine and by the warm welcome and the ambiance. We highly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return on our next trip to the Touraine region. Thank you to the entire team for this delightful experience!
