We discovered this small, family-run restaurant on our way to visit the Château d'Amboise. We were quickly seated on the lovely little terrace. I had the osso buco, the best I've ever had, and I'm not exaggerating—it was truly delicious. I recommend it to everyone. The service was quick and impeccable, and the price was more than reasonable. I highly recommend this establishment. Wishing them a wonderful holiday. Sandrine.

Despite the difficult working conditions due to the intense heat, the servers were very friendly and professional. They were all very attentive. The food was excellent and served in generous portions. I would gladly return.

An excellent restaurant where you feel right at home! The dishes are generous, prepared with fresh ingredients and great skill. The back terrace was closed, but we were kindly offered a table for two on the small front terrace. Excellent service. Pleasant meal. The appetizer buffet was sure to please those who enjoy charcuterie and crudités. We will gladly return.

A great find at Le Petit Tonneau, with an unbeatable price: 16 euros for a main course and dessert. Everything is fresh daily (the menu changes every day) and well-presented, without any fuss. The staff is also very pleasant.

11/08/2026: We were eager to try a restaurant owned by the Gueuleton family, and we weren't disappointed, even though the experience started with some frustration. The setting in Montlouis is superb. The old restaurant has been beautifully renovated. Several items on the menu or the daily specials board (which we had to ask for) were no longer available: no baby squid, no andouillette sausage, and the L-bone steak was no longer on the daily special… It's a shame this information wasn't provided when we received the menu, especially the andouillette, which my husband was particularly keen on. We changed our plans. There were four of us, and we started by sharing a bone marrow and trout gravlax. Then we chose a flank steak, sweetbreads, sea bass, and, for me, my L-bone steak was ultimately replaced by another beautiful piece of beef, very tender and flavorful. All of this was accompanied by mushrooms and new potatoes. Everything was generous and hearty! To finish, we thoroughly enjoyed the lemon tart… luckily, they had plenty in stock! 😊 A wonderful discovery, with generous and delicious cuisine in a truly lovely setting. We will gladly return, hoping this time to try the andouillette sausage and the baby squid…

22/08/2026: The quality of the food is undeniable, from its preparation to its presentation, with a perfect balance of flavors and refined visual precision. But the entire experience is delivered with the cold, funeral-room-like demeanor of the staff, from the initial welcome to the final service. Can't we at least speak to the customer?
