A great little restaurant with a magnificent view of the Pyrenees. Exceptional terrace. The interior is also very lovely. As for the food: simply excellent! Made with good, fresh ingredients and generous portions. Very good value for money. Plus, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Everything is perfect here. The owner welcomes you with exceptional kindness, the staff is particularly pleasant, and the food is simply superb. A restaurant as warm as it is delicious, highly recommended!

On Saturday, 50 of us from Palencia, Spain, had lunch there, and the service, speed, and food were exquisite. I highly recommend it. If I ever return to Pau, I would definitely go back.

A beautiful restaurant with a view of the Pyrenees in the distance. It was a bit chilly on the lovely, spacious terrace, so we preferred to eat inside. We opted for the set menu of the day, a starter, main course, and dessert for €23. Everything was truly delicious and delicate. No complaints whatsoever. The service was very quick despite the crowded outdoor terrace. Highly recommended.

Henri IV

03/05/2026: My review concerns the new Henri IV since its reopening in October. We were used to coming as a family until now and wanted to see what the new owners had created. Inside, the decor is more refined; the kitschy, easily recognizable portraits of dear Henri IV are gone, and it's brighter. As for the menu, we were used to the garbure (a hearty vegetable and meat stew) and were therefore a little disappointed that it wasn't on the menu, but we quickly forgot this detail because the meal was delicious from start to finish. For my starter, I had asparagus, which was very good; the Parmesan cheese added a real touch of something special. For my main course, I had the lasagna, which was extremely good, fragrant, with a multitude of flavors. Finally, homemade tiramisu for dessert, which was just as good! In short, I loved it, but I hope the restaurant manages to stand out because it's not the only one offering dishes with local ingredients, but without the little touch of the old Henri IV and its rustic dishes.

31/05/2026: Invited to friends' house to enjoy tapas and a superb paella (excellent!), followed by a to-die-for chocolate fondant for dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant.
13/05/2026: The meal was very good, their baby squid were excellent, the service was adequate considering there were a lot of people, the waitress and the cashier were very friendly…
