Le Quai 21 sur Castelnaudary

Passing through Castelnaudary, we had lunch at Quai 21 – a real treat! The dishes were beautiful and delicious... I highly recommend this restaurant.

Friendly and smiling staff. Very warm welcome both on the phone and in person. We ordered two rib-eye steaks, 300g each. Delicious meat served with ratatouille and fries drizzled with pepper sauce. Absolutely delicious. For dessert, two excellent ice creams. The restaurant is located on the banks of the Canal du Midi and has a terrace. We'll be back. Toulouse isn't that far from Castelnaudary. A very good cassoulet and not just that, homemade cooking

The food was great! The staff were friendly. I recommend it! However, the service on July 13, 2026, was extremely slow, over an hour to be served… the only point for improvement.

We had lunch at Quai 21 and enjoyed a very fresh and delicious cassoulet. It was even a bit too much, but the portion was generous. The service was impeccable. We were even offered some tapas while we waited, which wasn't actually that long (the cassoulet was in the oven).

A quick, impromptu stop on our way home from work, and what a wonderful discovery! The setting is lovely and the welcome was particularly warm. We had a delicious meal, with fresh, homemade products, all at a very reasonable price. A place we happily recommend! The Northerners 😊

At the risk of repeating the previous post, we also arrived at 2:00 PM and were greeted with a huge smile and overflowing kindness. The owner, of course, agreed to serve us lunch. And what can I say about the salads we were served?! They were enormous! A huge thank you to the whole team. If the opportunity arises again, we will definitely go to Quai 21 for lunch, or even dinner, and nowhere else.

We made a detour of several hundred kilometers to eat a good cassoulet in Castelnaudary. I'm a cassoulet lover, and this is the best cassoulet I've had so far. Kudos to the chef and the very friendly service team.

Beautiful location by the harbor, good and very tasteful. We will be back!
