The manager was friendly but completely out of control of his servers, who were doing their own thing, unprofessional, joking around and chatting amongst themselves like children while we waited 30 minutes to order. A good atmosphere is nice, but you also need to be serious and considerate of the customers. Two slices of pie were thrown onto the table on a single cardboard plate, and one of us ate directly from the table (sugar everywhere). You wouldn't even do that at a picnic. We arrived at 4 pm, and the tables behind us hadn't been cleared from lunch (yuck!), while the servers were foolishly having fun. Only one was young, professional, and calm; he'll know who he is, and we congratulated him.

We love this town and this restaurant is fantastic. We ate inside (because it was hot outside) and in the end, I don't regret it at all. The interior is beautifully decorated with medieval maps, antique weapons (real or replicas), and tapestries just like in the old days. The food is excellent; I had ravioli, then a slice of the famous Pérouges galette, which you can have with crème anglaise, chocolate, or vanilla ice cream. It was divine! Be warned, though, this galette is deceptively sweet.

The staff were a bit pushy about choosing our menu and drinks. There was a fly in the salad, but given the heat, I didn't dare say anything. The toilets were very dirty, which is a real shame.

Flawless service during the busy season!
We came during the Pérouges Medieval Festival, so it was incredibly crowded! Despite the throngs, the staff remained incredibly charming, welcoming, and smiling. Plus, without a reservation, we didn't have to wait at all; we were seated and served super quickly. The meal was delicious. Thank you to the whole team, we'll be back!

We enjoyed lunch on the terrace with our family and our dog, who was kindly served water upon our arrival.
The food was delicious and the service very warm.
We were pleasantly surprised by this establishment, which welcomes you with such friendliness and professionalism, whether you are a resident or a tourist. This is unfortunately not always the case with restaurants in such a beautiful location.
Indeed, you will have the privilege of dining on the main square at the foot of the magnificent Pérouges Linden tree, dating back to 1792.

Let's be honest, for €22.90 for a buffet with starter, dessert, and main course, it's not haute cuisine, and we know where it comes from, but it does the job. It's tasty and there's a good selection. The terrace is indeed nice, but the interior is dated and not very well organized (things are everywhere), and the toilets need regular cleaning. The staff is young, friendly, efficient, responsive, and quick. Petit Futé 2026.
A decent place for those on a budget. You'll certainly find better across the street, but quality comes at a price (€50 for the set menu).

Very nice, very good, the terrace is lovely. We almost didn't go when we saw the bill, but it doesn't deserve that price at all. It was really very good and the service was very friendly.
