A truly wonderful experience... A sublime cassoulet, a really good hamburger, and the confit duck was top-notch... Fast service, a superb welcome, homemade fries (a rarity)... I highly recommend it and I will definitely be back...

We arrived at 2:20 pm for lunch and the owner gave us a very warm welcome despite the late hour. If you're looking for a friendly and cheerful atmosphere, this is the place to go. Other restaurants (a little further across to the left when you're by the water) didn't even bother to serve us a drink after 2 pm.

Very good restaurant, local and fresh products (small menu = guarantee of freshness) I would gladly return.

So, where to begin…?! We came as a couple on a beautiful, sunny, warm day. That day, there was only one menu, but it looked quite appetizing, so we were happy to discover this brasserie. Unfortunately, our enthusiasm quickly waned when it came to the service. The aperitif had barely been served and the peanuts placed on the table when they were already removed to make way for the starters. Everything then moved at an impressive speed: we had barely finished our plates when the owner came to collect them, without really giving us a moment to breathe or simply enjoy our meal. We really felt like we were being served on an assembly line, with the sense that we had to eat quickly to make room for the next customers. Frankly, this isn't pleasant when you come to a restaurant to have a good time and take your time. The owner's behavior unfortunately didn't improve our experience: we found him rather unpleasant and quite rushed. Fortunately, the staff were very friendly and smiling. It's a shame, because the setting and the menu had everything going for them to make for a great time. But for us, the experience was mainly marred by the way the service was handled. We left feeling very disappointed.

We booked a table on the terrace overlooking the river this Tuesday. We were in the shade (it was 40 degrees outside) and had a superb view to fully enjoy our meal. The local cuisine was delicious from start to finish. There were three adult menus and two children's menus, and everything was truly excellent, with generous portions: the rillettes and the gizzard salads were superb. For the main course, my husband thoroughly enjoyed the butcher's cut, as well as the duck confit for my mother and me, which was melt-in-your-mouth tender and delicious—a real treat. The homemade fries were fantastic, and the children's hamburgers were also high quality. The desserts were equally wonderful; we savored the walnut and apple cakes, while the children had ice cream and chocolate cake, both of which were also delicious. The staff were very pleasant, always smiling and offering a kind word; they were very warm and attentive. We went there for our daughter Luna's 7th birthday, and she received a very thoughtful touch at dessert time: not only was there a candle on the cake, but what really touched us was that the four of them, including the staff and the owner, came over especially to bring it to her and sing "Happy Birthday." My little girl was over the moon, and it made us very happy too. We even took a souvenir photo of my daughter with them. If you're looking for a place to eat well with lovely and welcoming staff, look no further—you've come to the right place! A big thank you to the whole team for their kindness, their attention to my daughter, and their excellent meal; we truly had a wonderful time. We had already been there two years ago during our last holiday in the Périgord region, and we will gladly return when we spend our holidays there again. Back home in Burgundy, we love good food, and here we are warmly welcomed and well served. The portions are generous and delicious, and the staff is absolutely lovely! Gasselin family.
