Really nice restaurant in Beaune. We got a table outside on the patio and it was really cosy. We will come again another time.

We had dinner here with a group of 5 and took the Tradition menu with the cheese addition. The food was very good, the location too. We sat outside in a beautiful garden. The staff & service was impeccable, but quite stiff and formal ( a bit too much for our taste). The snail dish was exceptional, the pigeon great and very good choice of cheeses. What let it down for us was the wine paring. Even though the very knowledgeable sommelier made some changes on our request, the wines and the amounts poured were in no way generous. Just village appelations from Volnay, Pommard & Santenay) and only approx half a bottle was poured for 5 glasses. We would have been much better off by just ordering some bottles from the wine list. In the beginning of the dinner there was some live music coming from the hotel that was not too disturbing (that is the most positive i can say about it)

Great food and very good price for the set dinner (40euro, 2025). Great selection of wines. Even single glass wine - Pommard Premier Cru (Vivino 4.4) available!

The curse of having eaten at more than a few BIB Gourmand is that we may judge them a bit harder. And since La Table du Square have more of a one star prices on some dishes, we were not impressed.
On Plus:
Charming, yes. Great wines at reasonable prices per glass.
On Minus:
Ants on the table and very dirty umbrellas over our heads.
Food was too wet and gishy for my taste.
The lobster tartar is 85% water melon. Fresh, watery taste,, yet not a premium starter at €23.
The Duck, canette, was ok cooked. So why drown an already dead bird in a bland consommé? Skin could still have been crispy if not.
The dessert. My kids did better dishes freebasing in the kitchen at 10 years old.
Cookies, chocolate mousse, and roasted peanuts all mixed to a turd-o-rama. Comfort food, bien sur, but Michelin level, I think not.
It is nice to have a sommelier. But if you ask your waiter to get another glass of the 5 per verre wines, and she looks terrified.. "oh no, only sommelier can do, I will get him" it is not cool. He was rather busy, and the leisurely charm of the place just got bureaucratic.
For the same € 110, there are so many places I'd rather spend it on.

Overall good experience, staff was nice. There’s a car road passing through outdoor area (a little annoying), I couldn’t order from one of the staff, and she didn’t notify the staff tending my table either. Starter was good, duck was over cooked, and grilled peach desert a little boring. It was fairly cheap, but I was expecting more.

We booked ahead and had a lovely three course set meal. Food was delicious and was a lovely table outside. Staff were patient with the language difference and a phenomenal wine list. All up a great dinner experience.

Food was good, but not exceptional for the price range they are in. Wine was served too warm without proper cooling. Terrace was a bit unclean, bird poop everywhere. Staff was friendly and always there when you needed them, but nothing made it memorable or personal

A wonderful discovery...
Whether it's for the quality of the dishes, the gems on the wine list, or the sparkling smiles of the dining room staff...
Excellent value for money for this experience...
Bravo to the chef for his inventiveness... it's beautiful and it's delicious!
