Le Tirou sur Castelnaudary

Tirou, it's over. It is no longer Mr. Visentin who is in charge of the kitchen and who offered an extraordinary 100% homemade cassoulet. Now, the MT workshop subcontracts a cassoulet from Maison Escudier (according to the waitress). If this remains correct, we are far from what we tasted at Tirou; it's just good but far from exceptional... The house has lost its charm, the animals have left the garden. It's a shame, it was a nice stopover on the way to the holidays, I will look for another house during my next visit to Castelnaudary.

We knew this restaurant with the previous owner and suddenly it was a big disappointment if we made a comparison. In terms of welcome, warm, nothing to say. Pleasant garden space. The pretty decor that we knew is no longer, bistro table nothing more. No more homemade cassoulet but the one from Escudier, we were coming back for having bought our products so it's a shame that it was the same one that was served to us. My husband's was bathed in a liquid sauce while mine was thick as if reheated several times. Very disappointed by the choice of desserts because only chocolate mousse, strawberry soup and cassoulet and ice cream on the menu. And to finish 2 kirs €15!!! Price of a bottle of wine!!! If we had known. In short, all this doesn't make us want to come back. Regrets!

Pleasant outdoor terrace but lots of wasps. To play and keep people waiting, there is a super mega power 4 for children, however it is in full sun ☀️. The ham croquetas are very good. The cassoulet not great, the service: minimum.... Nothing to do with the Tirou of yesteryear...😭

I was not disappointed, the cassoulet is pleasantly accompanied by the beautiful South West accent, and the homemade desserts are up to par.
