Restaurant en bas de la cité, loin de la foule. Accueil chaleureux et professionnel de la serveuse. Les plats sont cuisinés avec des produits frais, bien sûr le cassoulet et les autres plats. Je recommande.

We ate a menu for 25 eur that includes bread as a starter, a main course and dessert, if only. You choose two courses, starter and main course or main course and dessert, it costs 20 eur, it doesn't include a drink but they give you a bottle of water. The food was good, elaborate dishes and of course they had the classic stew of the area.

Delicious food, friendly service & good atmosphere. The escargots, foie gras and cassoulet were a bomb of flavour. Great value for money. We highly recommend. Carcassonne seems to have several tourist traps. This for sure isn’t one of them.

We chose Le Trivalou for dinner on our last night in Carcassonne. There were many restaurants in that street but we liked the look of the menu so booked a table.
We found the staff absolutely lovely. My partner can speak far more French than I but the waitress was genuinely lovely with my poorer attempts.
The food was absolutely amazing. I had the chicken in french parsley puree with roasted garlic, mashed potato and seasonal vegetables. I have a food allergy and as I suspected the vegetable I was allergic to was amongst the veg I didn't eat them. I hadn't mentioned this to the staff so wasn't their fault (besides I am happy as long as I can eat around). The food was delicious and I am trying to figure out how to replicate this now we are back home.
My partner had the sea bass in a carrot and sweet potato mash/puree. He thoroughly enjoyed this as well.
For deserts I had the Panna Cotta and my partner had the Creme Catalane. Again both were delicious.
Wish we had discovered this place earlier in our holiday. I don't review many places so definitely shows how much we enjoyed our experience and meal.

There was 7 in our group and after visiting the old fortress we came down to the old town to find somewhere to relax and eat. To the right of the road coming down from the fortress we saw the Le Trivalou. What a pleasant surprise- we were welcomed and quickly attended to and we chose a la carte and the menu.
The gaspacho was delicious and salade aux magrets de canard was generous, fresh and tasty. Even tried the cassoulet wow the local sausage was excellent!

Impossible to visit Carcassonne without eating a good cassoulet! We chose this small restaurant in a pedestrian street outside the ramparts based on the good reviews on the site and we are delighted...the duck confit cassoulet is excellent and the homemade foie gras is killer!! A big thank you to Moussie the waitress for her very friendly welcome. A really warm atmosphere, even the chef comes to see the customers at the table at the end of the evening which is rare these days!!!

Pequeño e informal restaurante a los pies de la cité. Platos típicos y bien elaborados, con un servicio a la altura. Carta de vinos corta, pero atractiva, estando muy presentes los vinos de la zona.
