Fantastic restaurant! The food was truly excellent, the meat was tender and high-quality, and the staff were incredibly friendly, smiling, and attentive. I highly recommend it. A must-try! 👏👌

The staff are welcoming and the value for money is excellent. The dishes are cooked with love and it shows in the taste.

The mussels with Roquefort cheese and the sea bream and tuna, cooked to perfection, were truly delicious.

We came to dinner at Victor Hugo as a couple, and our experience was unfortunately rather mixed, even though we really enjoyed many things. We received a very warm welcome and particularly appreciated the attentiveness and professionalism of the young waiter who looked after us. 😊 My husband chose the ribeye steak: the arrival of the flambéed dish was quite an experience! 🤩 The portion was extremely generous, and above all, the meat was delicious. He thoroughly enjoyed it. For my part, I chose the curried mussels. Again, a very generous portion and truly delicious mussels. Unfortunately, a large majority of the shells were broken, with many pieces of shell in the dish. This made eating them particularly uncomfortable and potentially dangerous. I pointed this out to the staff during the meal. The response I received surprised me somewhat: the problem was apparently due to the delivery drivers not taking sufficient care with the mussels. This might indeed explain their condition upon delivery. However, as a customer, I'm particularly puzzled by how so many mussels with broken shells could have been cooked like that and then served as is. 🙄🤔🤷🏻‍♀️ I was also a little disappointed by how our comment was handled. I wasn't necessarily expecting anything extraordinary, but at the very least, I hoped the problem would be acknowledged and, perhaps, a small gesture of goodwill when we paid the bill. There was none. It's a real shame because, without this incident and how it was handled, our experience would have been excellent: a pleasant setting, a very warm welcome, attentive service, extremely generous portions, and delicious food. We therefore leave with mixed feelings: we ate very well, but this problem with the mussels and especially the response given to it unfortunately tarnished an evening that had started very well.

Excellent restaurant, generous and delicious portions. There were six of us and all six courses were absolutely delicious! Impeccable and friendly service. A great place to eat in Digne!

The welcome and service were very pleasant, the food excellent, and the €29 set menu is fabulous: a Niçoise salad with a delicious tuna steak, a very good beef skewer with pepper sauce, and to finish, a succulent dessert. The burgers are huge and also very good. It's great to see restaurants with this level of quality/price ratio still available. Thank you to the whole team! 👍
