This was absolutely the best meal of my life. I ate at four Michelin star restaurants in France. All were amazing. But L’Ecusson was in a class by itself. Atmosphere is modern, chic, and understated class. The service was fantastic. Every plate of food was a piece of art. Seriously stop reading this and make your reservation for this truly special and memorable meal. Meals like this are a special moment.

Excellent dining experience!!! 😋 Everything went perfectly at l'Ecusson where we were taken care of very well. All the cooking was very well mastered and the advice on wine was very good.

Excellent dishes and original presentation! Attentive and elegant service. We had to ask for the wine to be decanted. Downside: Lighting with large spotlights coming from the ceiling in the middle of the table and on the heads. Not a cozy atmosphere. Tables well distributed, but the whole rooms too monochrome white and beige. Lack of warmth and large fake bouquet of flowers. This could easily be improved with small table lamps and a few touches of color.

A wonderful discovery this Saturday, October 19 for a romantic anniversary evening. A warm welcome, perfect service, all kindness and smiles, which accompanied us throughout the meal, which was excellent. A feast for the eyes and taste buds... freshness... finesse... delicacy and subtlety of flavors... everything came together to make this gourmet moment unforgettable. Nous avons préféré au menu à 39 € proposé au déjeuner, le menu à 85 € en quatre services. Cuisine créative. Cuissons maîtrisées. Présentation des plats sans décoration exubérante. Service efficace et attentif. A la belle saison, il est possible d'être servi sur une terrasse calme à l'arrière du restaurant. Prix un peu élevé.

We wanted an excellent dinner in Beaune and were steered to l'Ecusson by various reviews and it did not disappoint. The terrace outside is extremely enjoyable in summer. The service is very friendly and warm, the food is beautiful and tasty. We had just a glass of wine but it was also extremely good. Would heartily recommend. A great evening.

27/01/2026: Le Béléna in Béaune – after the change of ownership, it's unfortunately no longer the restaurant we appreciated for. Therefore, I must revise my previous review. Located on Place Madeleine, Le Béléna is very conveniently situated: right next to a free parking lot on the edge of the old town. Since the change of ownership about two years ago, several things have changed for the worse. Where it was once an elegant restaurant with higher standards, it's now comparable to those geared towards tourists, which are less recommendable. The menu hardly varies anymore, and the food left much to be desired.
22/01/2026: Absolutely perfect! The welcome was excellent, the table was spotless with its cloth napkins. The daily special was incredibly affordable, and the quality far exceeded the price. The servers were incredibly attentive, and we never had to ask for anything. They were very proactive and helpful. The group of seniors I accompanied that day joins in this praise.

03/01/2026: We highly recommend this excellent restaurant where we received an exceptionally warm welcome with our two young children. From the amuse-bouche to the desserts, everything was superb. The service was impeccable, with many thoughtful touches for our two-year-old daughter. Special mention goes to the children's menu, which offers a choice of fish or meat, allowing little ones to enjoy a balanced meal while stimulating their palates!
