Exceptional. Incredible welcome, top team. There is a great atmosphere from the first minutes. A regular at Val for decades, this is a great discovery that takes us away from other places that have become unfrequented...special mention for Dylan the Pastry Chef and his Easter dessert!

Fantastic, cannot recommend enough! Stunning location with panoramic views down the valley, classy interior with a log fire. The staff could not be friendlier and more accommodating, especially of my coeliac. Good for gluten free and at least one vegetarian option per course. Excellent value at €34 for three courses, and at <€30 for the mains which are therefore only a little bit more expensive and infinitely better value than most places elsewhere!

Warm and cozy Restuarant with lovely view. Service was a little slow and cumbersome with multiple waiters doing different tasks. Rather than one person assigned to table. That said we had lovely meal and was family friendly business with nice fire beside bar

Super accueil, très bonne cuisine et très bien servie par Raphaël qui a lancé un beau avec la profiterole géante Une super ambiance qui restera de bon souvenirs

Accueil chaleureux, repas copieux et de qualité. Super desserts à partager, notamment la profiterole ! Parfait pour une pause au cours de la journée de ski. Super service par Raphaël !

Un accueil bienveillant🥰 pour nous permettre de déjeuner entre 2 réservations ! Une expérience gustative de haute qualité 🤩…le menu du vendredi nous a comblé après la piste du bout du bout 😋 Le profiterole à partager est une « tuerie » que nous recommandons grâce à la suggestion de Raphaël 🥳

03/04/2024: The 1789 is one of our favourite restaurants, the food is fantastic. We always look forward to our visit and are never disappointed.
03/04/2024: Don't believe everything negative that you read! I love this place. Been coming here for years. I came for pierade and profiteroles with my son on a busy Sunday night in April. The service was prompt, the food was delicious, the waitresses were attentive and polite. I think the price is a good value reflection of the quality. Final word: you're in France, speak French. It might enhance your entire experience!
