We received a very warm welcome, the waitress was friendly, the setting was pleasant, and the meal was superb from start to dessert (fast service).

Fantastic experience at Léon de Chambray Les Tours. Lovely staff, generous portions, very affordable menu – the perfect place for a break near the A10 motorway.

We regularly have lunch at Léon in Chambray-lès-Tours, which is our family meeting place when we leave our son with his grandparents for the holidays. Until now, we'd never had any particular problems: the food served today was decent and the service satisfactory. Unfortunately, today, the manager's attitude at the time of payment completely ruined the end of the meal. After confirming that holiday vouchers were accepted, he asked me to fill them out with my details. Meanwhile, my mother-in-law simply asked him for the amount corresponding to her own bill. From then on, the situation took an incomprehensible turn. When I offered to pay €70 with holiday vouchers and the rest by credit card, he exclaimed, "Oh, but the lady made me do a mess of things," as if splitting the bill were an unsolvable problem. Then, noticing that I had filled out the checks in the wrong box, he added in a particularly unpleasant tone, "Oh well, yes, but I'm never going to get paid." The most surprising thing is that the restaurant wasn't crowded at all at that moment, and we were the only ones at the register: it was neither a stressful situation nor a rush of customers. Especially since, upon checking, a mistake in filling out a holiday voucher doesn't invalidate it. This reaction was not only inappropriate but also unjustified. It's regrettable that a manager, supposed to represent the establishment, would choose to show annoyance rather than professionalism in the face of such a simple situation. We left the restaurant feeling like we had been a nuisance. It's a shame, because this kind of attitude really makes you want to rethink your habits.

Excellent meal. The fish and chips was perfectly crispy, with tender fish. The fries and sauce were delicious, and the crème brûlée was a real treat. Very good mojito, excellent beer, and pleasant service. I highly recommend it! 🇫🇷
