The setting is magnificent in the heart of the old stones of the town of Chinon. The dishes are good but some are a little below what you would expect from a gourmet restaurant. We had few explanations when serving the dishes. The wait was horribly long We had our main course more than two hours after our arrival.

Have eaten here several times over the last 10 years and always given five star reviews. Posting to say the restaurant moved to larger premises on same street 50 metres nearer the centre of Chinon. Now has large, beautiful shaded courtyard for outside dining. Certain the same high standards and great value will apply. Now the bad news…..our schedule doesn’t allow us to dine there this trip!🤷🏻‍♂️, so cannot comment on an actual dining experience. Just wanted to give the heads up to what appears to be an even better dining experience. We will return………

Great meal in a lovely courtyard setting. Staff were very pleasant. The only downside was they seemed to be a bit short-staffed as dinner took 3.5 hours. A bit slow to start and at times too long between courses but I suspect this was because they have recently moved to a new location and it was a Sunday evening. It did not spoil our enjoyment of the food and the venue. Definitely the best of our three meals in Chinon

We had lunch with the family yesterday on the terrace, in a magnificent setting. The restaurant is located in an old stone building, superbly renovated with great taste. The cuisine is refined and delicious. 👏👏👏

We are delighted to have discovered this pretty little restaurant in Chinon. The waiters are pleasant, the welcome is attentive, the outdoor courtyard is calm and benefits from gentle sunshine at midday. The dishes were fine and tasty, and the value for money was absolutely excellent. Travelers passing through this adorable city steeped in history, I wholeheartedly advise you to let your taste buds take a tour. Only negative point: you will leave with a very heavy stomach!

We had a delicious meal here! There are several menus to choose from and we received a surprising appetizer beforehand. The wine list included various local wines and we received appropriate advice. The room was beautiful and attractively decorated. When we arrived it was busy and it took a while before we had our first drink, otherwise everything was perfect, and the hostesses did their best to communicate with us in English.

01/09/2024: Great time with the family, we came back a second time. The boss is super nice!! The drinks menu is quite large. Can't wait to come back to try the menu now!
27/08/2024: Nice little restaurant. Homemade food, ripe and sweet tomatoes, delicious vinaigrette, well-stocked plates and friendly service, we will come back.

08/09/2024: Super nice and pleasant restaurant with an attentive waiter and a great cook. It's very good, refined and the most important thing is quality products. Not to be missed, you will enjoy it at a very reasonable price.
01/09/2024: Restaurant décoré avec goût et belle terrasse. Le menu du déjeuner à 35 € est excellent. Nous nous sommes régalés. C'est la 2e fois et la qualité est toujours au rdv sans oublié le bon service. Je recommande.
