A traditional brasserie in the center of Saulieu where you can enjoy a meal for around €16. The food is good, the portions are generous, and the service is friendly. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

A Parisian café atmosphere, indeed, but with the tranquility of a small provincial town and the added bonus of smiling waiters! Despite being called a "café," it's perfectly possible to have a meal there—a rather generous one, capable of satisfying any Parisian! The Charolais beef carpaccio, served with sautéed potatoes, is to die for, as is the dish of tomatoes and burrata from Puglia with basil sauce (see photos). The desserts—tarte tatin, chocolate fondant—are equally delicious. Outside of mealtimes, the terrace is ideal for a drink before heading out to explore the open-air exhibitions or the museum. After all that, not coming back often would be the icing on the cake!
