Maison Jouannet sur Vichy

24/08/2026: Excellent quality in a relaxed atmosphere. We had an exquisite dining experience; a must-visit in Vichy if you want quality ingredients and great food. Impeccable service.

19/08/2026: There were five of us for dinner on August 14th, with a special €50 menu. The service was excellent, the young women were friendly, charming, and responsive! The starter (pan-seared foie gras) was very good. It was full of flavor and showed a lot of creativity. The veal rump was cooked well, but the sauce was far too salty, which ruined everything and is unacceptable in a restaurant of this caliber. Two of us had this dish, and both shared this opinion. Another dish was also too salty. It's a common tendency among chefs, as salt enhances flavor, but it can ruin everything... The dessert (strawberry soup) was mediocre and far too sweet due to the abundance of meringue. Overall, I was very disappointed compared to my expectations (it was advertised as the best restaurant in Vichy)... For less money, I recommend Paris Vichy, which is simpler and much better!
