A very good restaurant in the north... I had a delicious carbonnade there. Main course, dessert and a glass of wine for around thirty euros.

I may never poop again, but it is a sacrifice I am willing to make! The "northern demonstration" of welsh rarebit, carbanabe flamonde, and chicken with cheese (sorry forgot the French name) was so incredibly life changing. I really cannot recommend this further. Fun outdoor eating location, friendly staff.. walk down the little alley to this wonderful experience.

Hidden backstreet gem with a leafy terrace offering regional fare and local craft beers. This is a thriving bouillon style restaurant with an extensive menu of local favorites. We enjoyed the beef carbonade and chicken Maroilles with a picon cidre so much that we went back for the same meal twice. There are many tables in two rooms inside, but sitting in the covered courtyard patio was the most enjoyable. Inside the place is accented by a collection of old photos, advertising plaques and prints, and miscellaneous bric-abrac. The service was friendly and welcoming. It is accessible through a little passageway from one of Lille's main streets.
