The service from the lady was excellent, and the food was superb, but the gentleman... he could make an effort to hand us the menu instead of placing it on the table while we looked at him. I didn't appreciate it; luckily I was a guest, I would have left if I hadn't been.

Very nice restaurant, we ate outside, the owner was very kind, the service was good, the price was reasonable (88 euros for two), the dishes were presented and pleasant.

I've been here several times and have always been pleasantly surprised, but today I was disappointed, even though the welcome, service, and quality of the food remain perfect. I find the new €45 set menu excessive compared to the old €38 set menu. During lunch, I noticed that the side dishes were identical regardless of the menu chosen (rice and ratatouille). My previous review, March 2024 (5/5): A great place to discover in Carcassonne. The welcome is warm, and the service is perfect. The homemade food is excellent. Many thanks again to all the staff… I highly recommend it.

Fabulous meal for our last night in Carcassonne! Busy restaurant, great service and delicious food. We learnt how to properly aerate red wine which was excellent. I am gluten free and had a good choice from the set menu. Everything fresh and tasty. We hadn't booked and were lucky to get a table so I'd definitely recommend booking before you go as it's in a residential area with no other restaurants nearby.

A Perfect Finale to Our Holiday What a wonderful way to end our holiday! My wife and I enjoyed a truly beautiful meal at Le Jardin de l’Estagnol — an exceptional dining experience from beginning to end. A special mention must go to Xavier, who was the consummate host: warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about creating a memorable experience. His recommendation of the Eidos Rouge 2022 was superb and complemented our meal perfectly. The food was beautifully presented, full of flavour and clearly prepared with great care and attention to detail. Combined with the lovely setting and outstanding hospitality, it made for a very special evening. Le Jardin de l’Estagnol is a gem and somewhere we would wholeheartedly recommend. A truly memorable experience and the perfect way to finish our holiday.

An easily accessible restaurant with parking opposite. We received a very warm welcome from the owners upon arrival. Our group was delighted to have shared a pleasant and convivial moment in a beautifully landscaped setting with lovely flowers and trees, in a charming building full of character.

A warm welcome, a very good restaurant, and a magnificent terrace. The food is excellent. I highly recommend it.
