The place is unique and welcoming. The food is good, but we would have appreciated it if the chef had asked us if everything was alright instead of turning his back on us to go and pamper his friends!
The snails were swimming in their sauce, which was very good, but it was difficult to pinch a small grey snail shell that broke in half to extract the snail; I had snails everywhere. The eels were well-prepared and the sauce was delicious, but again, it was difficult to remove the bone. A plate would be helpful for cutting the fish into pieces. The price was a bit high considering that both the small grey snails and the eels were small portions.

plus, it's suitable for young children
who can enjoy the children's menu with cuttlefish and potatoes
very good
the only downside
it's a bit cold at the table in winter
and we actually prefer wild boar in a stew, and less so in the pinkish sliced form, it's a personal preference and besides
to each their own
I highly recommend this restaurant and the welcome from Mélanie and Julien!

A wonderful discovery in the heart of Gruissan. The welcome was charming, and the cuisine was of very high quality. We thoroughly enjoyed the squid needles and cuttlefish quenelles. The service was very attentive and much appreciated, especially with two young children. We'll be back!

A truly warm and sincere welcome, an original, elegant, and artistic setting, a friendly musical atmosphere, and consistently smiling and attentive service.
As for the cuisine, it's refined, flavorful, beautifully presented, and original.
They also offer gluten-free options, organic products, and excellent wines, including organic options if desired.
In short, it's far from the tourist traps in the area. I highly recommend it; I had a wonderful time.

Everything was perfect.
The welcome was charming and attentive from beginning to end.
The food was very good: drinks, desserts, and especially the main courses.
Excellent!!!
We had tuna belly and eel stew.
A very good place that I highly recommend.
We will return on our next trip to Gruissan.

A truly wonderful surprise!!!
The cuisine reflects a genuine love for the ingredients and the craft, and the service is absolutely top-notch.
A perfect balance between fine dining and a classic restaurant... Bold choices that have proven a resounding success.
Moreover, and importantly, the couple who run the place, about whom I knew nothing before arriving, are absolutely lovely people. We found it very hard to leave, and we wholeheartedly recommend their establishment and wish it a long and successful future.
In other words, I went to Gruissan without ever having heard of La Cranquette... I'll return to Gruissan just for them!!! (even though Gruissan is beautiful) ;)

Excellent establishment! I discovered you through a YouTube video from a food-focused channel.
I'm so glad I came with my friends.
The menu is well-thought-out and affordable for both newcomers and regulars, and the prices are quite reasonable considering the quality of the food and the location.
Not a single flaw.
I'll definitely come back next year to dine with friends.
I will certainly recommend your establishment whenever I mention Gruissan.

Honestly, I ate well but I was quite disappointed with the starter and dessert given the rather high price. If I were to go back, I would just have the main course (the Zarzuela was excellent and plentiful). The octopus tentacle on a bed of mashed potatoes was disappointing because the mashed potatoes took over too much and the rum baba was average. Too bad... maybe the lunch menu is a better option
