Les Trois Lys sur Fontevraud-L'Abbaye

Although the server was polite and the place is nice their price policy is absurd. Its a bakery and they charged 4.2 for a coke. Even the sandwitch was expensive (7€) even for Paria standarda which i am used to.

The pastries, bread and viennoiseries are delicious, and the owners are very friendly.

It seemed impossible to find such wonderful pastries in this somewhat touristy village, but we were absolutely delighted! We tried the "vigneronne" (vigneronne) tart, a thin apple tart with a subtle red wine jelly, as well as a delicious pistachio chocolate tart...yum! Everything is homemade with fresh ingredients and undeniable expertise. There's a variety of drinks, including a very good latte and organic fruit juice. The place is lovely (large terrace overlooking the pretty square, a welcoming interior...) and the owner's Argentinian accent is charming too! 🙂 The bread and pastries also look delicious, but that'll give us a reason to come back!

The perfect spot in Fontdevraud. The bread is delicious and the service is the best in the area. A must-visit in this village.

Great croissant and pain au chocolat!!

The pastries were indeed pretty nice and the bread seems to be baked fresh right in the room behind. At least you can assume it by looking through the back door. However the service was only somewhat friendly and the cappuccino was not worth its name which disappointed us too much. I cant imagine that a person who serves such a cappuccino would accept it themselves as a guest somewhere else..

In May 2026, there was a heat wave, and after visiting the abbey, it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy some delicious ice cream in the shade at the tables on the terrace. The service from the girl, who was Argentinian, was excellent.

Bilingual and very friendly saleswoman, delicious pastries, good coffee.

Fantastic place!! I highly recommend having coffee with Italian ice cream – it's delicious. Very welcoming staff!
