Fantastic Paris/London quality restaurant in the old town of Bergerac, down a picturesque small side street. Super amuse bouches, the salty creme brûlée being a real surprise. Great starters including interestingly bone marrow and snails. There was a single vegetarian main, but our vegetarian enjoyed it. Deserts were excellent, with the dark chocolate with fruits being the favourite. An excellent meal in atmospheric surroundings. Best restaurant in this corner of france for miles.

Pas grande chose à rajouter aux autres commentaires très positives, pourtant je souhaite laisser qqs remarques dans l'espoir que l'équipe prenne conscience des petits bémols. 1. Surtout et surtout, cette "tendance" dans nos plus beaux restos de faire appel aux parfums et saveurs asiatiques est depuis très longtemps dépassée. Un morceau de veau merveilleux, cuit à perfection, a été nettement dégradé par une réduction balsamique/soja/sesame qu'il me prend 5 minutes à faire à la maison, lorsqu'il aurait été sublimé par une simple sauce gibier classique: vraiment dommage. Bergerac est déjà doté de 2 excellents indiens et plusieurs chinois/vietnamiens. Laissez les faire leur travail. 2. Le jeune apprenti doit apprendre très vite à s'exprimer audiblement. Service absolument sans reproche mais propos incompréhensibles. Voilà. Je recommande sans hésitation, merci !

This restaurant is an experience! The food was very well presented with great attention to detail and delicious The waiting staff exuded just the right amount of haughtiness and disdain to our great amusement. As we are English, this allowed them to excel in these attributes. And the long waits between courses and being studiously ignored aided my husband’s digestion no end, for which he was very grateful. Ideal for a long evening of entertainment and great food! We would thoroughly recommend.

14/10/2024: I arrived in the city center late, it was close to 10 p.m., I hadn't reserved anything, and the restaurant agreed to serve me a main course and a dessert, without the starter. I accepted the deal without regret. Even without the starter, I was served 2 small toasts with dried duck breast, enough to whet my appetite for what comes next. The duck breast cooked with porcini mushrooms and seasonal vegetables was a treat. The squash puree and parsnip puree were particularly good. And they were real porcini mushrooms, present in numbers, perfect for a fan like me. As for dessert, I ordered the one of the moment, the soft chocolate-chestnut, and I was served an incredible plate with various coulis, all delicious (almonds, salted butter caramel, passion fruit, red fruits), homemade whipped cream, a scoop of ice cream and its crunchy tile and of course the soft treat while still warm. Thank you to the team for their welcome.
