L'inzecca sur Ghisoni

I have no idea why I had to drive so far, but apart from the rat in the street that had come out of the kitchen and the dog that killed it, there's not much to say about the food. The lasagna, in particular, was a no-go. The €40 set menu was decent value for money. The desserts were really delicious and well-made. Unfortunately, the promised cheese cubes never arrived… The veal tripe (hopefully not rat tripe) was tasty. The service was attentive, but there was no Wi-Fi, so we couldn't use the translation service, and no lemon for the drinks… Stay in the village by the beach and don't bother with this arduous journey…

We went there one evening in July. You need to know where it is because you don't just stumble upon it; it's tucked away in a valley! The restaurant wasn't very busy. The set menu was €40. Expensive, but extremely generous portions! We ate very well; everything was delicious. Perfect.

A must-visit! Between the warm welcome, the delicious meal, and the lovely setting, everything is there for a wonderful time. I must emphasize that we particularly appreciated the quality of the food and the service. A truly great find, which I wholeheartedly recommend.

Great restaurant! Generous portions and typical Corsican dishes. The owner is very welcoming and chats with his customers. I highly recommend it if you want to have a good time and enjoy delicious, authentic Corsican cuisine.

I was eager to try L'Auberge de l'Inzecca after reading so many great reviews. We weren't disappointed! Don't miss the leek fritters—they're absolutely divine! All the dishes were excellent, and the desserts... it had been ages since I'd tasted such a delicious crème brûlée or floating island! One thing's for sure, you won't leave hungry 😅 As a bonus, the setting is magnificent, and you can cool off in the natural pools. A must-try if you're ever near Ghisonaccia!

We had a wonderful time at this mountain restaurant. The food was of excellent quality, fresh and delicious. The welcome was warm, with lovely, smiling, and attentive staff. The portions were very generous, and the prices were quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity served. A truly wonderful place that I highly recommend. We will gladly return!

Well, what can I say... the 4.9 rating speaks for itself... the restaurant is apparently known for its generous portions, and I've been told – because I was there with Corsicans myself – that it's more of a local thing. A real hidden gem in the middle of nature. A truly fantastic atmosphere to go with truly fantastic food, by the way. It's hard to choose, everything is delicious! 🫶🌲

A rather disappointing experience, mainly due to the service. We had barely been seated for five minutes when a waitress came to ask if we were ready to order. As we were looking at the menu and didn't yet know what to choose, we told her we needed a little time. Despite this, she came back two or three times within a few minutes, really giving the impression that we were in a hurry. We also asked her for explanations about the dishes and some advice, especially since one of our companions is vegetarian. There were no suggestions, no possible adaptations to replace the charcuterie included in the menu with a vegetarian alternative, just a flat refusal. We really felt like we were left to fend for ourselves, which is a shame in a restaurant where you expect at least some assistance. It should be noted, however, that the service was quick and another server was very pleasant and professional. We also mentioned the minor issue with the bread to him. It's not a deal-breaker, but fresher, better-quality bread would definitely make a difference. The dishes are generally good, and the ingredients seem to be of high quality. However, the veal polpette were a bit of a disappointment: the meatballs were tasty, but the dish was essentially just plain pasta with only three meatballs, no sauce, and no other accompaniments. The cannelloni with brocciu cheese were also good, but the portion seemed a little small. You should also be prepared to pay in cash, as the payment terminal didn't seem to be working due to the restaurant's location. It's not necessarily their fault, but it would be helpful to inform customers of this upon arrival. Finally, an anecdotal but rather amusing detail: a waitress was watching the World Cup final at the counter. I asked her the score, and she replied with a smile… a completely wrong score. That pretty much sums up the level of customer service that evening. Overall, an experience below our expectations.

Everything is excellent and the portions are huge! Go for it without hesitation!
