Maido sur Nice

Excellent find! This restaurant is simply fantastic. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The ingredients are fresh and everything is homemade. Plus, there's a wide selection of delicious sake. It's the first restaurant that truly makes you feel like you're in Japan. The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend going! Just remember to make a reservation!

This restaurant is absolutely flawless!

2025-11 A very quaint place - warm beef curry on cold nights. Better to make a reservation than try and walk in, but the staff always tries to maximize your experience. The kitchen bringing out the meals is priceless. And don’t forget to get the karage!! 2026-02 Update Still great, new and improved photos, upgraded the service. This time I had a reservation but still got the same table. Super quaint place. Great to go in a group so you can get everything on the menu and try everything at one seating. Kimchi with parsley are an amazing combination. 2026-07-11 still great, staff is even better. New photos, upped the service. My favorite spot in Nice.

Wonderful Japanese restaurant. The food was incredible, highly recommended. The menu is small, tapas-style for sharing, but you can tell it's traditional Japanese cuisine. They also have a very extensive sake selection. The owners are lovely. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive to us. Thank you for making our last night in Nice something we'll always remember.

Very good food and excellent service. The only small downside is that the restaurant is indoors and can feel a little warm at times. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

The menu changes frequently, so you might find some fantastic dishes alongside more classic ones, so one visit to Maido isn't enough. What's certain is that the quality is truly high and the ingredients are truly impressive. I recommend trying the entire menu and sharing it with your table. The wine list is always very interesting, all natural.

A wonderful discovery in the heart of Nice. The atmosphere is warm and the dining room was lively when we visited. The service is attentive. We particularly appreciated the presentation of the dishes, especially the edamame served on a small woven bamboo tray. The evening ended on a perfect note with a beautifully presented meringue dessert, garnished with fruit and slivered almonds. We will gladly return to try the rest of the menu.
