Very good iced latte and the cake with polenta is amazing!

This is my third time back for lunch, and this time without my wife, who was busy with family responsibilities. Everything is made on-site, so you have to arrive early because the dishes sell out very quickly. They offer regional dishes, with an Asian twist on reimagined Bánh Mì. The menu changes daily depending on what's available at the market. The establishment is enjoying great and well-deserved success. In the evening, we dine at Pluviôse, the small Basque grill, or Arotzenia, but lunch is sacred—it's Bocata.

A fantastic spot for lunch in Saint-Jean-de-Luz! The service is quick and friendly, and the food is fresh, homemade, and of excellent quality. We were on our lunch break and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves: an authentic Bành Mi, reminiscent of those we'd had in Vietnam, followed by a delicious homemade dessert. Bocata in Saint-Jean-de-Luz is a delightful little spot! The owner is super friendly, the staff are smiling, the atmosphere is chill… and the sandwiches are amazing. The prices are very reasonable, so go for it! If you're ever in the area, don't hesitate, it's a winner! 💛🔥

A very friendly place, perfect for lunch! We were served quickly and everything was fresh and delicious! Everything is homemade, the service is very pleasant, and a special mention goes to the superb desserts. We'll be back if we're ever in the area!

Highly recommended! Very friendly, young, and dynamic staff, the food was delicious and alternative, and the atmosphere was very relaxed and inviting. Even with the door open, the music masks the outside noise (cars, mopeds), and the pleasant salsa tones in the background aren't intrusive, creating an almost nostalgic South American flair. The unisex restrooms are very clean by Lucerne standards. We were lucky; the sun was shining, and there were many guests sitting outside on the terrace. There's a bench on the other side of the large front window. It's like meeting a friend for coffee or a light snack. All the prices are perfectly reasonable, and a balanced lunch in the sun with a delicious espresso is pure bliss. We had a few coffees (cappuccino, long coffee, decaf espresso) and a slice of their homemade orange cake. We left around 12:30 because of our departing train, but the bodega was already filling up with lunchtime guests. I felt transported back to my student days and reminded of my time living in a shared apartment 😍 Everyone was welcome, from young to old 😉 We were even greeted by a lovely canine guest. It was a very pleasant surprise to discover this little sunny bodega just around the corner from the train station. Five stars in every way! 👍😎
