Flew in Monday evening for a business lunch at 1 PM Tuesday. Easy, right? Well… not quite. On Monday night at the hotel, I thought: “Let me give my suit trousers a quick, light ironing so I look sharp tomorrow.” Quick. Light. Ironing. Famous last words. Next thing I know—my trousers are burnt! Panic mode: ON. Tuesday morning, I’m on a mission, desperately hunting for a new suit. Problem? Shops open at 10 AM. My meeting? 1 PM. My stress level? 100%. At 10:00 sharp, I storm into this shop like a man on a quest. A courteous young man greets me, and I blurt out: “I need a suit. NOW. Actually… I need it tailored by 11 AM.” He looks at me like I just asked him to stop time—but then something magical happens: determination kicks in. He runs up and down the shop, talks to the manager, calls a tailor (at another location!), and somehow makes the impossible… possible. By 11:20 AM, I’m in the store, changing into a perfectly tailored suit like a movie hero in the final scene. I walk out, make it to my business lunch, and nobody ever knew the chaos behind the scenes. To the team at Fathers & Sons Cannes, who saved me: I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH!
