Yes, the price is a bit steep, but considering the quality of the restaurant, it's definitely worth it.

From the moment we arrived until the end of the meal, everything was perfect.
The flavors were all there, from the appetizer to the dessert... I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The chef came to greet his guests.
The staff was very pleasant, without being intrusive.
I highly recommend QUAI 38.

I ate the top three dishes of my life there (the other two are none of your business, of course!). Sweetbreads with squid and a lovely citrus sauce that went perfectly with it, served with mashed potatoes—it was pure bliss. A complete sensory experience, a sight, a smell, a moment worthy of a "Shrek-style rat."
My god, there's no before, no after, there's only the moment, an instant, a bite.
The service is charmingly kind and polite. Charming might sound a bit odd, but you'll understand once you're there.
One of my favorite places.
A restaurant you have to try, savor, and return to again and again. A Lille institution.
Go for it.

We came for my mother-in-law's birthday and were absolutely delighted. Everything was perfect: the setting is magnificent, the welcome warm, and the service impeccable.
We particularly appreciated the chef's visit to our table, a simple yet thoughtful touch that made all the difference.

Given the rave reviews, we were hoping for a fantastic meal. We left disappointed. The value for money was simply not there. The knives were certainly good, but served lukewarm with a side dish that clashed (parsley sauce versus raspberry vinegar???) and, most importantly, the octopus was rubbery, especially considering the €37 price tag – it was simply unacceptable! In the end, €180 for two people; we won't be spending that much again.
