Hello, while passing through Arbois for a visit, we were looking for a simple restaurant and stumbled upon Le Petit Jurassien. Admittedly, it's far from the gourmet or bistro-style cuisine that's so abundant in the region. But here you'll find home-style cooking, which I believe is prepared with passion. The price/quality ratio is excellent, the service is pleasant and quite accommodating as long as you're pleasant (I mention this because of some rather negative reviews about the staff's behavior). Although I'm not a regular, I found this restaurant lived up to our expectations, and that's why I recommend it. For those looking for a restaurant with sophisticated dishes... this isn't the place for you; it's about heartfelt cuisine and friendly, family-style service that's approachable without being intrusive.

Restaurant in downtown Arbois. The decor is unremarkable. Friendly welcome. Pleasant service. Several menus, including a multi-course option. Varied dishes, some typical of the Jura region, well-cooked, well-presented, and delicious. The price reflects the quality of the food. Thank you to the whole team for a pleasant experience.

Too much processed food for me. Simpler, homemade side dishes and desserts would suit me better.

We came for dinner as a group of five, with a reservation, including a couple of friends who lived in Arbois at the time and recommended this restaurant. We were absolutely delighted! The staff was welcoming, excellent, and not intrusive. They didn't try to sell us dishes we didn't want, and the minimal wait reflected the quality of the food prepared and served. The meal was absolutely perfect. Of course, the restaurant can't accommodate a hundred diners, but for a proper meal with friends and family over the weekend in the area, it's ideal.

Accommodated us without reservation on a busy night. Staff attentive and managed better English than my French 3 course for €30, authentic, local, portion size plenty. House white excellent, fresh& fruity. Recommended ++

We stopped at this small, unassuming restaurant on our way back from vacation. We thought it was charming; we're from the Jura region, so I would have liked a bit more decoration. The food was good, the portions were just the right size, and the service was impeccable! You can tell the staff really want you to feel welcome 😊
