Restaurant Bistro D'Edgar sur Bourg-En-Bresse

A magnificent place; we were treated like royalty. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional. We enjoyed dishes prepared by a chef who clearly loves his work, with exquisite finesse, using fresh, homemade ingredients—worthy of a gourmet restaurant. A huge thank you again for your generosity. Unfortunately, establishments like this are becoming increasingly rare. You can go without hesitation and enjoy a wonderful, convivial experience.

Congratulations to the cooks for the food, it's excellent and in terms of quality it's simply magnificent, thank you again, I highly recommend this place to eat!

On our journey from Port Grimaud to Stuttgart, we stopped in Bourg-en-Bresse for dinner. We found this restaurant on a small, lively square. It was inviting because of the lovely, colorful chairs outside. We were served politely in English. The menu was extensive, the portions generous, and the food delicious. Even the kids loved the chicken. We'd gladly come back for our next stopover!

We had a very good meal with the family; the dishes were high quality and plentiful.

A wonderful discovery in Bourg-en-Bresse: "La Maison des Jacobins!" This restaurant is ideally located and boasts a superb outdoor terrace, pleasantly shaded by parasols, with a charming fountain in the square and the gentle sound of flowing water. The welcome is warm and friendly. All the servers are very attentive, kind, and caring. I was accompanied by someone with reduced mobility, and there were no access problems whatsoever, whether in an electric or manual wheelchair. As for the food, it was a real treat! My colleague opted for the Bresse chicken with morel sauce and new potatoes, while I chose the dish of the day, a heart-shaped meat dish – "EXCELLENT!" I highly recommend La Maison des Jacobins, both for the quality of its menu and, above all, for the kindness and attentiveness of the entire team. 👏😊

The food was very good. The service was a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry.

Very nice place, with a vegetarian selection. Very friendly waiter. Good food. They were also very kind to bring us a bowl for our dog.

I highly recommend them; they are very professional, pleasant, competent, and the food is good.

A pleasant family dinner. The food was very good. The service was also pleasant.

A welcome break in this heat to hydrate, and very pleasant! The servers were very kind and smiling. The terrace is shaded and the setting with the fountain is superb! We'll be back! ☺️☀️
