A truly delightful moment by the canal lock: it was absolutely fantastic! What's more, the meal was delicious and very generous – in short, it was Alsatian. The staff were very friendly, and to top it all off, the bill was very reasonable. Go there, you'll be thrilled!

Beautiful place, terrace overlooking the canal, good food, but slow and sometimes inconsistent service...

The food was absolutely delicious and incredible. The carafe of cold water, filled to the brim, was a much-appreciated touch, as not all restaurants offer this. The service was friendly and welcoming. However, we ordered the veggie bowl, which was described as containing hazelnuts, but we received peanuts. It was also described as containing dried fruit, but there was none; instead, there was fresh fruit (melon and watermelon). The wait was long, approximately 40 minutes, I believe. The doors were open, making the interior as hot as the outside, although I suspect one of them was open to facilitate access to the terrace.

En français à la fin. I lived in Saverne for four years, and La Marne has always been one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The food is delicious, the prices are fair, and the service is always very attentive. Over the years, I've tried several dishes from the menu and have never been disappointed. One of the highlights is the famous Tartes Flambées (Flammekueche), a regional specialty that can be enjoyed as an appetizer or main course. If you are Brazilian and visiting Saverne or the Alsace region, I highly recommend having a meal here. It's a welcoming place with great food and excellent value for money.
