A hidden gem in Ascain! This little bar-restaurant is simply perfect. You can feel the genuine passion, from the appetizers to the cheese course, with top-quality Basque regional products. The wine selection is excellent and pairs wonderfully with the dishes. Special mention goes to the owner: dedicated, friendly, and attentive. An authentic place just the way we like them, I highly recommend it!

We discovered this restaurant by chance one evening while passing through Ascain. Honestly, you have to go! We had a very good meal with excellent cuisine made from fresh ingredients. The service was friendly.

The place is quite deceiving; it looks shabby, but the food is spectacular. The first day it took an hour to be served, but it was good. The next day, going at a good time, was great. The price was excellent, well, we know that food in France isn't cheap, so €20 minimum, but it's worth it.

17/04/2026: THE RESTAURANT TO TRY IN ASCAIN! We stopped by chance one evening in Ascain and what a discovery! The chef was lovely, the food generous and delicious! The txuleton for two was perfectly seasoned, the fries were homemade, the sheep's cheese was excellent, and the pistachio-raspberry fondant was delicious… everything was homemade! If we're ever back in the area, this will definitely be our next stop!
