08/09/2026: To celebrate my 70th birthday, I chose this restaurant so my family and friends could be in Ascain, near my home, and close to the hotel for those who came from other towns. The restaurant has a lovely dining room opening onto a terrace with a view of a field and La Rhune mountain. The welcome was warm and professional. We were very happy with our choice of this restaurant for my birthday.

15/08/2026: We dined on the terrace one evening during the Ascain festival. It was busy, but we didn't have to wait; the service was quick, efficient, and friendly. And the food? A delight of flavors, cooked to perfection. We ordered accras and a tartine, followed by a rib of beef with vegetables, duck breast, and fish dishes that were a true pleasure. Thank you all!

03/09/2026: A very nice establishment. The service was efficient and the advice helpful. And finally, the quality of the food. For me, it was perfect. Very generous portions and excellent quality. I recommend the mixed fish platter and the pork tomahawk steak.

12/08/2026: Get off the beaten track, leave the main square and head towards this restaurant; you won't be disappointed. The talo and marinated pork are must-tries. The wine on offer, a Rioja full of structure and freshness, will complement them with a delicate authority. Much like the owner himself: generous, accommodating, and colorful, just like his cuisine. And, on your way to the restrooms, take a detour to the left with your flashlight to see the municipal pelota court. A memory of a wonderful discovery and a warm encounter, during a stopover (highly recommended in this village) on the way back from Portugal.

05/08/2026: We had a wonderful meal... Don't be fooled by appearances; this little restaurant isn't very visible and doesn't look like much, but that's not the point... The menu is simple yet authentic, everything is fresh and homemade. Follow the advice of the waiter-chef who will give you a warm welcome. A delightful experience.

25/08/2026: The owner explained everything to us about all the regional products, and they are indeed of good quality. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but the food is very good.

20/08/2026: We were delighted to try unusual dishes like pig's ears and eels! Everything was delicious and well-presented.

02/09/2026: Came for a quick beer and ordered a second round, only to be kicked out of our seats because diners wanted the table. We were still actively drinking. Terrible service.

22/08/2026: The staff were very friendly and attentive. They speak Spanish and Basque, and the food was plentiful and delicious. The prices seemed reasonable. A great choice.

27/06/2026: We chose this hotel because it's pet-friendly. We had our cat and dog with us and everything went smoothly. There's a green space for dogs to run around in. Breakfast is decent and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are a bit dated (the bathroom door doesn't close properly, the finish isn't great, and we could hear other guests a little). But honestly, it's good value for money. We were very happy for ourselves and our pets.

23/06/2026: Good price, 60 euros. Not far from Handaye beaches. Comfortable hotel, air-conditioned, and with free private parking. Good buffet breakfast but a bit pricey at 12 euros, especially if you have a light lunch...
