Nice and friendly place. Unfortunately, the system wasn't explained to us, so we ended up paying an extra €10 per person for a cider (just a small glass). A little more courtesy from the manager would have been appreciated. She wasn't very accommodating; for a hen party table of 12 people costing €410, we were refused a digestif. A shame.

Meal with friends and children: the entire menu was excellent, the staff very friendly, and their attitude with children was particularly noteworthy. I highly recommend it!

We'll gladly return. We received a very warm welcome; the owners are lovely and very attentive to everyone's well-being. The rib steak was excellent. The atmosphere is truly pleasant; we felt right at home. And the prices were reasonable. Thank you very much.

Berri cider house follows the traditions of cider houses in the Spanish Basque Country. Cider served in barrels, txuleta (Basque flute), and a great atmosphere. We had a wonderful evening :)

We loved our experience here, from the cider room tour to the introduction to cider production. The quality of the grilled dishes was exceptional, although the lack of sauces led us to buy a jar of Espelette mayonnaise from the shop to accompany our ribeye steak. The service and style were a bit kitschy but absolutely refreshing in the context of France. It's definitely a place to bring the whole family together.

22/04/2026: The bathroom and bedroom lack a good ventilation system.
22/04/2026: Hotel well located near the center of Ascain. Hiking trails start right from the hotel. Lovely view of La Rhune from my garden-facing room. Pleasant welcome. I recommend it.

09/05/2026: After getting caught in a storm on La Rhune, we booked a table at this charming little restaurant in the heart of Ascain. What a wonderful discovery! Everything was delicious, incredible, and homemade. We'll be back on our next trip to the Basque Country!
