A quick stop forced by the rain. The owner and cook were incredibly friendly, and the cheese and charcuterie board was delicious. A really lovely spot near the Charlotte the Marmot trail!

The owner and her adorable dog gave us a wonderful welcome. We had a fantastic family dinner and had the chance to chat with the chef, who was super friendly! We even ordered breakfast for the next day before hitting the road. Great place, lovely welcome, and excellent service. Highly recommended!

Hotel Arbois-Bettex Restaurant

30/03/2026: A very pleasant surprise! The hotel is comfortable and well-maintained. The two people at reception are very helpful and always smiling. A nice bonus was the sauna after a day of skiing.
30/03/2026: The hotel is perfectly located at the foot of the slopes, with a friendly and very welcoming staff. The view of Mont Blanc from the breakfast room is magnificent. We had an excellent stay thanks to the team and the thoughtful touches in our room (pastries, water, toiletries, etc.). We will gladly return!

Sous les Freddy

08/07/2026: Nice place to eat. But the service leaves much to be desired; they don't ask if everything is alright, and the frozen potatoes are tasteless. The plate is a bit pricey for the quality; you're paying for the view.
07/07/2026: Lovely mountain hut on the ski slope with great views over the Mont Blanc Massif. After many a mountain climbed in summer and skied in winter, this one has to be one of if not my favourite. Open all year round with a great selection of products. Seemingly family run with people who really care about their customers. Sitting area surrounded by beautiful alpine wildflowers. Access by walking down the gravel service track for a 100m or so from the top of the Bettex. We were offered cheese from a local farm free of charge. The views are incredible - you can ask for binoculars and will be able to see all the way from Mont Blanc to Aiguille du Tour, Aiguille de Chardonnet and Aiguille Verte. If you are passing anywhere in the vicinity I would recommend a trip to Sous les Freddy.
